Do you reckon Yotsuba is Spanish in origin?  I got a suspicion that she is Spanish. I suspect she is a western looking person from the fact that other people often thinks she is a foreigner (and some says "hello" to her). I narrow this down to be Spannish from the fact that she sometimes cries "ole'  and that she said she is from the "left", and Spain is at the left of Japan on the Japanese version of World map (US is on the right). It would be a great clue to know what translation job does her dad does. most likely he adopted Yatsuba while visiting that country where he knew the language. I got a very strong suspicion that she is Spanish.
