How much is 300 yen in u.s dollars? like $30.00? or what. I need the translation for that one.
Loffyglu
300 yen is equivalent to about $3.00, I think... though probably more along the lines of $4 or $5. Not entirely sure on that.. But definetely not $30. =P

You could always google up a money changing program/site.
Konayuki
$1 US dolla is about 110 yen, so its a lil less than $3 US dollars
Hoshi-chan
1 yen = 95 cents. Milk is pretty cheap there!
Zeld
This is the current index at date 10. 25. 2008: 1 Japanese yen = 0.008400 euro or 0.010613 U.S. dollars So 300 yen is about 3,18 $.

Hallo everybody. By chance barged into this site and understood that finally got there, where it is nece ssary

Cheap to an American buying it because dollars are worth more than yen, but not for a Japanese person. It's like when an American comes to the UK everything seems expensive because $10 is £20, but a British person going to America would find things cheap because £20 is $10. Make sense?
Her dad said it was 1000yen, which is $11.13, or £7.50.

> Make sense? Not at all.
Corrector
Actually, you're wrong, because the prices are fairly close. People in Japan rarely buy things for 1 yen. It's like us buying something for a penny.
Not right. And money in the UK is also different. Stuff like gas gets MORE expensive (so Americans would freak out) and people from the UK might think it's nothing. You have to pay attention to that. The money system may be confusing, but yeah, just saying.
nikki-chan
1 canadian dollar = 75 yen so 300 yen is 4 dollars canadian
