What are you talking about? Koiwai loves Yotsuba very much. I bet he would be willing to give up his own life for her if required. He cares a lot for her as well. However there is only so much one parent especially a man can achieve. I bet Koiwai never married, perhaps never even had a girlfriend. So he sometimes can be careless and forget about certain things, but over all he is a very good father to Yotsuba. He is doing a great job there. What Yotsuba needs now perhaps is a mum.
